Since the founding of our club 1in 1962 by Joe Sack and his colleagues, the Sterkfontein Drive has been available to Sterkfontein patients. And it’s still groing strong. How’s that for an enduring and worthwhile project!

On the last Sunday of August we had our Drive again, as usual. Patients were treated to cold drinks and pastries and taken for a walk on the shady, winding pathways to the waterfall. De Waal told them interesting things about the plants, trees, rocks and birds on the way.

On 25 June we helped Michelle Nel of the Child and Family Care Centre in Krugersdorp to take children to see the circus. We rented a bus and gave 80 children the day of their lives!

Road Race for people with disabilties
Once a year we organise a road race for children and grownups with various disabilities. They run a distance of about 2 kilometers. Some are pushed in their wheelchairs by athletes from Khosa Running Club. The club works with us to present the event.

Perhaps it will be of interest to you to be aware of a sick perverted child molester – Fanus Schoeman – who has resided in Klerksdorp for many years.
Not only did he have access to rape and molest young girls at a very young age because his mother ran/runs a child care/day centre for many years – he has now resorted to tracking down his victims on Facebook and is stalking them there. He follows their pages everyday – clearly indicating the SICK pervert has never repented and has the arrogance to continue invading their privacy – even after all the damage he has done!!!
Additionally – he has married Veronica Gunter Schoeman (Labuschagne & Alberts Optometrists 018 4688903) – who cannot be aware of this psycho’s past.
Warn your friends, family and children about this scum, as we are being forced to close in on this animal as he clearly thinks he has got away with this. And the biggest joke of all – he hides behind God and stopping abuse to children??!!
Is this his sick way of gaining access to more children because of his ‘holy’ image.
